Welcome friends to the month of August, 2022! Here are your Tarotscopes for the month of August, 2022. I’ve used the standard Rider-Waite Tarot Deck for this month’s post.

The important astrological dates for the month of August are:

Full Moon: Aug 11 in Aquarius

New Moon: Aug 27 in Virgo

Let’s get to the tarotscopes! Make sure you check your Sun Sign and your Rising Sign as well.

A richly-dressed woman stands in front of a hedge made of purple grapes and grape leaves. There are 9 yellow coins with pentagrams integrated into the bottom of the hedge. A hawk with a blinder is perched on her gloved left hand.

Nine of Pentacles Reversed – Looks like you might feel a little more dependent on others than you would like to this month, my fiery Aries. Is this a good thing or is it a bad thing? Are you giving up your power, or are you truly being weakened by factors outside of your control? I know you like to be in charge of your own fate and destiny, so just get back on your feet as soon as you can and reclaim your independence and personal power.

A blindfolded woman with short dark hair sits on a simple cement block in front of a body of rippled water. She holds a sword in each hand. Her arms are crossed at her heart. Her feet are on the ground. There are boulders a little bit into the water on her right and left. A peninsula is visible in the distance.

Two of Swords – It’s time to choose, Taurus. Luckily enough, you know exactly what the right choice for you is—so why are you hesitating? All choices we make have consequences, and you might be looking for the option that causes the least amount of pain for others; make sure to equate your own pain and suffering into the mix.

Instead of torturing yourself by continuing to mull over the options, just choose. Your intuition is guiding you now and it will actually turn out to be less harmful, overall, than you had imagined.

A young man in armor with a crown with a nine pointed star on his head stands in the center of a chariot. A black sphinx sits in front of the chariot on the left and a white sphinx sits on the right. There is a winged circle and an encircled rod are on the front of his chariot. There is a walled city in the background.

The Chariot – Lucky you! Looks like travel is going to be a part of the plan this month. It almost feels like this will be an opportunity for you to see friends and loved ones you might not have been able to see for a while. While you’re there, you might think about staying.

It’s time for you to center into yourself and look inward for guidance. Instead of rushing from one mentor or wise soul to the next, find the answers within yourself. You’re the one who is driving this chariot and you have to be the one who is in control of the direction it’s going in.

Image upside down. A yellow sun with a serene face and large rays is in a blue sky above a scene with naked blond-haired toddler wearing crown of yellow and orange flowers riding a white horse. There is a cement wall behind the horse and child. Four sunflowers in full bloom are growing from behind the wall. There is an orange banner flying from bottom to top of the left-hand side of the picture as shown.

The Sun Reversed – There’s a lot of positive energy and optimism in store for you this month, dear Cancer. Just make sure that you don’t spend all of your time hanging out in the shadows. You might be waiting for the other shoe to drop or feel some nagging sense of anxiety… Why not just enjoy?

Life consists of ups and downs. You are in an up-cycle right now—and that’s OK.

Queen of Pentacles Reversed – You might feel a little chaotic and ungrounded in your home, family, and financial life this month, my fiery Leon friend. Clutter piles up, bills go unpaid—are you OK? You might need to reach out to a therapist or coach to help you get through this. There’s no shame in asking for help.

Also, you might meet someone whose character is like I described above: chaotic, sloppy, disorganized, and insecure. If you step in to help this person, make sure to mind your boundaries. It’ one thing to help and quite another to get dragged along for the ride.

A young armour-clad man with his sword raised rides his running horse toward the left-hand side of the image. The sky is cloudy and there are two trees that seem to blow in the wind in the distance. The terrain he rides over looks like a desert.

Knight of Swords – Things are going to go really quickly for you, especially if you add your voice and intellect to the mix. You will be able to make forward motion. Just make sure to temper your words so you don’t end up accidentally insulting someone who you wanted to charm.

You might meet someone youngish this month, too—someone who is chatty and very sure of their ideas (even if their ideas are questionable). Is this person all bark and no bite, or is there a sword or two hiding behind the charm?

Image upside down. A young man in a green tunic, a yellow long-sleeved undershirt, and orange tights holds a long stick with tiny leaves growing out of it in his hand. It looks like he is going to jam it into the ground. There are 6 long sticks with small leaves in front of him. He stands on a patch of grass on a rocky surface.

Seven of Wands Reversed – Try as you might, things just aren’t sticking, my dear Libra. It can get pretty frustrating when you put so much time and energy into the fight, just to have things unravel when you walk away. Are you sure you want to keep fighting, or is there a different way of addressing this battle that won’t leave you feeling so exhausted?

A young armour-clad man sits atop a light grey horse holding a chalice out in front of him with his right hand. He has silver looking wings on top of his helmet and on his ankles as well. His horse is on the sandy side of a river that runs in front of mountains. There are trees on the mountains and in the distance on flat lands.

Knight of Cups – You might feel the urge to avoid your emotions this month, my dear secretive Scorpio. Is this the most mature way of dealing with things, or do you even care about that? You might be admiring someone from afar or just not willing to be honest about your feelings. While you might need to gather the courage to deal with and act on your emotions, it might be wise to wait a bit. Your intuition might be telling you to wait, even if your heart (or your lust) are telling you to go-go-go!

Six of Cups Reversed – It might be time for you to turn what you’ve learned on its head right now. Instead of looking backward, into your past, for clues about how you should move forward, you are content with remaining right in the moment, with an eye on the future. If people from your past caused trauma or you are healing from old wounds, you are healthy enough now to navigate life in an entirely different way. Congratulations to you!

Image upside-down. A man and woman stand under an arched entryway to a nearby town. There is a small child in a blue gown with dark hair peeking out from behind the woman. He is wearing yellow shoes. The woman is facing us, looking at the man. She wears a red robe and has curly reddish hair. The man's back is toward us. He wears a tan colored shirt and light blue sash. An old man with white hair and a red and green robe sits on an ornate thrown in front of the arc with two grey robes looking up to him. There are 10 coins in the foreground of the picture in the positions of the Kabbalah Tree of Life.

Ten of Pentacles Reversed – Sometimes too much is too much. Sometimes too much is not enough. You are experiencing one of those periods of overwhelm right now. All of the hard work and effort you put into something either is not showing up or it is… far too much of it is. Too many people relying on you. Too many bills and not enough time to pay them. Too much work and—even though your work is your escape sometimes—you just are not into it. It might be time to reprioritize how you spend your time and energy so that it brings more balance into your life. Right now, the pendulum is swinging from one side to the other and it’s disturbing your equilibrium.

An orange coin with the letters T A R
O at position noon, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock with Hebrew symbols between sits in the middle of the image atop a red demon-like creature. there is a long yellow serpent on the left hand side of the coin. A sphinx sits atop the image with a sword in his left hand. A blue sky with 4 clouds in the corners of the background. An Angel reading a book sits in the upper left-hand cloud, a phoenix or dragon with outstretched wings holds an open book in its talons on the upper right cloud. A winged cow lays reading an open book on the lower left and a winged lion lays reading a book on the lower right. All of the figures in the corners are yellow.

The Wheel of Fortune Reversed – Fate isn’t going to step in and change things for you, my dreamy Aquarius. You are going to have to get out there and do the work if you want things to change. But you might want to ask yourself if you are ready yet, if everything is in place, if more time needs to pass before you really make that leap of faith. I know you are a dreamer but bringing your dreams to life can require legwork and elbow grease—not just thoughts and prayers.

Instead of trying to push forward, no matter what, why not take a step back, reevaluate the goal and the plan, and see if you need to change anything before you go marching off to meet your destiny.

A tall grey tower is being hit by a lightening bolt. There is a fire on the broken top of the tower, and fire coming out of three windows near the top of the tower. What appears to be a large golden crown is being thrown from the top of the tower. The sky is black with three dark grey clouds. There are two figures seeming to fall from the tower. The right-hand figure is a person with dark hair and a red hooded cape, a blue tunic, grey tights, and brown boots. A surprised expression is on its face. The person on the right seems to be wearing a golden crown and a blue tunic with red shoes. Both are falling head first, but the figure on the right is back-up and the figure on the left is belly-up.

The Tower – Things need to change, my dear Pisces. You’ve known it for a while. You might have marched forward, ignoring your intuition and insisting that you could change the circumstances with more love and a little time. But things didn’t turn out the way you had hoped they would and you have to do something about it.

The Tower brings a period of discomfort, chaos, and instability with it—all things you’d rather avoid. BUT, if you can reset your sails, using your authentic truth as your compass, things will get better. The shift in energy alone will help you see that this change was for your greatest good.
