  • Waning Moon Detox Bath Ritual

    Woman in bath

Clear your energy with an energy detoxing bath

The moon is waning, which means it’s getting smaller. When the moon is getting smaller, you can do work on minimizing things, getting rid of things in your life.

A lot of people talk about manifestation during the new moon. That’s fine and all, but the time leading up to the new moon is really, really powerful for letting go, cutting cords, and getting rid of things like thoughts, habits, ideas, relationships, things that are no longer serving you. This is something that you’ll want to work on between now and the New Moon.

Letting go of what you don’t need makes space to bring new things into your world.

If you’re doing big, heavy work in your life you’ll only want to focus on one thing per moon cycle. For example, if you’re going through a bad break-up or a friendship that needs to go or you’re kicking a bad habit, right now is the perfect time to work on that stuff.

You might only want to work on kicking that habit or getting rid of that influence or doing that toss-away work right now instead of working on building and growing and manifesting. There’s always time for that.

    Spiritual Detox Bath

A salt bath is good once a month, or once a week, or whenever you are feeling overwhelmed by life. You can take a salt bath or go into saltwater to detox, if you’re lucky enough to live near the ocean. It really helps to clear out your energy; especially if you set the intention to clear out your aura while you’re running the bath, and also while you’re mindfully gathering supplies.

    Smudge Stick

    What you need:

    Sage smudge stick

1/2 cup of sea salt – I use sea salts that I buy at the supermarket for like 99 cents. You can also get Himalayan Salt (but watch your carbon footprint, either way)

Cedar Essential Oil – 5 drops – this is a great scent that helps to clear your aura

Lavendar Essential Oil – 5 drops another scent that helps to clear your aura

Black candles – to clear negative energy. I’d use a votive size, but you can use whatever size works for you.

Black crystals, like obsidian, smokey quartz, and onyx can also help with the process. Place them on the edge of your bath, near your candles.

Set an intention. You can think something like: “I’m not only going to take a salt bath, I’m going to make this a ritual for myself so that I can clear a lot of stagnant, stale, unneeded energy out of my aura, and cut cords and get rid of habits that aren’t serving me and use the energy of the moon to help me with this.”

Create a sacred space. Creating a sacred space for yourself to use the power of the moon and the elements that you bring into your bathroom is a part of the process. Make sure that the space is clean, so that your energy is not distracted by thoughts of picking up clothes off the bathroom floor or having toy boats strewn around your candles. This is your time and you deserve a space that feels energetically pure.

You should also take the time to smudge the room. Get into all of the corners, nooks, and crannies of your bathroom with the smoke from your smudge stick.

If you can’t burn sage in your home, you can make a purifying spray out of rose quartz, salt, water, and sunshine.

Don’t forget to smudge yourself, too! You can do this after you undress, before you get into the bath. Run the smudge stick from your head to your feet, up and down the sides of your body—including under your arms, and between your legs

Call your angels, spirit guides and ancestors into the space. Ask your spirit guides to help you release what is no longer serving you and to carry it away with them.

Run the water and add the oils and salt. I prefer a nice, steamy hot bath so that it works on a physical level as well.

Inhale purity, exhale gunk. Breathwork is a really helpful add-on to this process. Your lungs can actually store a lot of old air deep down inside them. It’s a good practice to do deep breathing on a regular basis, and it certainly adds a level of clearing to this ritual.

First, focus on your breathing. I usually breathe in for a slow count of six and out for a count of 8. Do this 3-4 times.

Then start focusing on inhaling pure, opalescent white light or pure positive energy energy. Then imagine mucky, green or grey or black—whatever color you imagine your negativity being—rising from your spirit when you exhale.

Breathe in the white light really deep, as deep as you can. And then exhale all the junk and trash and bad thoughts and everything.

Do this throughout the entire bath, if you can.

    Black candle with orchid

Let your mind wander. Sometimes you’re going to make associations, you’re going to get these insights into what’s bothering you. Or, you’re going to get ideas about how to move forward in your life while you’re sitting in this relaxed state, focused on your breathing.

You can also concentrate on letting go of stress, letting go of pressure, fear, the feeling of overwhelm, resistance, blockages; anything you are holding on to or any energy that stands in front of you, stopping you from moving forward.

Think about unhealthy habits, unhealthy addictions, unhealthy relationships, unhealthy thought patterns, unhealthy perceptions, unhealthy emotions that you have. Imagine them being incased in bubbles and floating away or seeping out of your body, into the water.

Tune into your body. While you’re sitting there, working on releasing the negativity from your body, pay attention to which areas in your body you experience discomfort in and shine that glowing, crystalline energy in those places.

You want to make sure that you are filling your entire aura, your entire being with bright, calm, pure energy.

Focus on the areas that are hurting and also imagine the toxins oozing out of your body, out of your light field, out of your energy system.

Imagine yourself shedding dense layers of energy.  It’s like shedding or cutting off outer dried layers to reveal a glowing energy body underneath.

Imagine glimmering, bright light with all of the colors of the rainbow shimmering at one time flowing through your system, pushing out anything that is lower-vibration or negative.

Cut cords. I call Archangel Michael into my clearing meditation and I ask him to cut cords that are no longer serving me.

You don’t have to worry about this with your children, your partner, friends or family because it’s not actually going to cut cords or dissolve your friendships and make you stand alone. What it will do is it will help you maintain your energetic connections in a positive way.

Imagine a sword slowly sweeping over your body, cutting away the cords you don’t need, trimming back any that you want to maintain or that are good for you.

Really take the time to imagine this and really get into the visualization of all of the different energy that’s draining you, that no longer serves you being swept or cut away from you. Imagine these cords or points of contact with you and your energy field being cut away or being trimmed back so you have more energy to yourself.

Energetic bandaids. If you feel any energy wounds in your energetic field be sure to cover them up with an energy band-aid, which is like a glowing patch of energy that you place over any energetic wounds you feel.

I have to do that, personally, in my lower back area. It’s one of my chronic energetic wound areas.

If you feel that your throat chakra is hurting, then put your energy bandaid on the front and back of your neck. If your sacral chakra is hurting—a lot of us get this lower back pain—then you would want to put it on the back and the front of your body.

Stay in the bathtub as long as you desire to and you can repeat these rituals; the deep breathing, sloughing off the energy, even take a loofa and slough off the dead skin off your body so you have the physical representation of releasing the dead things; the things that are no longer serving you, the things that you don’t need to carry around any longer.

Stay in the bath as you drain the water. One of the most powerful parts of the process is staying in the bath while the water is draining out. You might actually feel things pulling off your energy body and being sucked down the drain.

While you’re doing this, set the intention for all the negativity, poor habits, connections that you don’t need, energetic attachments that are unnecessary for you to be cleared from your energy body. Imagine them going down the drain with the water.

Rinse yourself. This will help to wash away anything that was ‘stuck’ to you.

Let yourself air dry. Even though you should be pretty squeak clean, you don’t want the water from the bath pushed back into your skin; you want to let it air dry or evaporate into the air so that it’s not staying in your energy field or your energy body.

Don’t forget to open a window after your bath or keep a window open during your bath if it’s not too cold outside. That way, when you’re burning sage or any kind of clearing incense, it has a way out of your house.

Sage yourself again. After you air dry, you can sage yourself once more to seal in your energetic purity.

Thank your angels, spirit guides, and ancestors for their help.

Journal. If you feel called to journal after your bath, that’s also a really good thing to do. You might have a surge of new ideas, new thoughts, new connections you made in the bath.

  • 4 Reasons You Should Consider An Online Psychic

Many people are skeptical about whether online psychic readings give accurate and real results. But online psychic readers use the same methods as a face-to-face psychic. By doing this, an online psychic can help you manage any phobias or problems you have in your life, helping you achieve your full potential.

As with any form of reading, it’s important to do your research, especially if it’s online. This means understanding how they work, what services they offer, and what benefits they’ll give you through their services. Some may even advise you with crystal healing to provide some benefits for your aura.

Furthermore, they’ve widely recommended harnessing the powers of crystals, such as pyrite, to help bring out the best of your soul. Pyrite meaning could be endless as it has healing properties and can be worn every day.

Along with this, here are the reasons why you should consider an online psychic:

    1. Affordable

Online psychic sessions are known to be more affordable compared to those who have a physical clinic that you need to visit. They’re a lot cheaper since they don’t need to rent out space and will only be needing an internet connection to complete your session.

In addition to being affordable, they’re also as effective to those who have physical clinics as they’ve been in the industry for many years. The readings won’t cost high and the psychics are going to give you all of the information that you may be interested in. This includes a look into a person’s past and what they have done, a look into an individual’s life and what may be coming up in the future, and even help with solving a problem.

Woman with tarot deck and phone
    1. Authentic

If you’re worried if an online psychic reader is fake, do note that they can be as authentic as those who have a physical clinic. As a tip, you should be looking at websites that are authentic and verified to conduct online psychic readings.

There are a ton of authentic online psychic courses on the internet that helps train and verify a psychic reader. They’ll be needing to attend courses and take exams to pass their certification. When a website requires its psychic readers a certification so that they could be on the platform, this will further help you verify that they’re authentic and will provide accurate readings.

An authentic psychic reader will provide you accurate and specific readings and not vague ones. They could provide you a full name of a person or the exact location of where you’ve spent your last vacation and their readings about them. It should be noted that authentic psychic readers don’t need too much information for you and will just confirm thoughts for additional readings.

You can search the internet for legitimate online psychic and read their reviews. You could also ask a friend or a family member if they could recommend one.

    1. Convenient

Most psychic clinics are not favorably near our homes and they usually require long hours of drives. With online psychic, you can have your psychic reading at home while still providing you with the best service.

Thus, you won’t have to be bothered by driving for an hour back and forth just so you could have your psychic reading when you can conveniently do this in the comforts of your own home.

    1. Ethical

Trustworthy psychics are reliable, compassionate, and ethical. During your readings, you’ll get to see their compassion that they really want to help you out. They’ll also provide you the information that you asked for and you’ll be leaving the session completely satisfied with their service.

If, unfortunately, they can’t provide you readings, they’ll let you know and might not even charge you for not being able to do your reading.

The priority of reliable psychics is to give you guidance in a positive direction so that you’ll be happy. Be wary of those who only provide you negativity as they’re more likely to be manipulating your emotions for money.

    Conclusion

Going for online psychic over to those who have physical clinics provides endless advantages on your end.

They can be quite more affordable, authentic, ethical, and above all, convenient. Not only is it more comfortable as you’ll be doing your readings in the comforts of your own home, but it also allows you to save a lot of time. If you’re all set with having an online psychic reading, you should be looking for a reliable psychic reader that’ll help you find the results that you need. You can search the internet for the best ones or you can ask either your family or friends for recommendations that would be helpful.

  • Crystal Junkie’s Paradise – Amethyst World, Maissau, Austria

    geeking-out-at
I FINALLY got to go to Amethyst World in Maissau, Austria yesterday! For a crystal junkie like me, it is a little bit of heaven on earth. My energy was restored, I got a nice little haul of stones (thanks Mom!), and I can’t wait to go back.

Amethyst World is located about 30-45 minutes north of Vienna. Don’t worry about having to drive mountain roads, though, because it’s nestled in a village in the hills of Lower Austria (Niederoesterreich) – not in the mountains. The drive was stunning as the Austrian countryside is beautifully immersed in fall colors and the trees and vineyards, with their bright yellows, oranges, and reds were a gorgeous contrast to the gray fall skies.

Honestly, the day we chose to go was a little chilly and rainy, and one of Amethyst World’s main attractions is digging in a (probably) seeded “amethyst field” with a pickaxe, shovel, and bucket, looking to score some chunks of “self-mined” amethyst.

    cutestminerever
    Cutest miner ever!

Aside from digging and pix-axing like a maniac, there are 2 different tours available there – one of a nice vein of amethyst which explains the mining process and the other an Edelhaus, which is the home of many different precious stones and minerals. We didn’t go to either of them this time around, as my littlest little came with and wanted to play on the playground and dig in the amethyst field after an hour drive and then he was  hungry, so we had cake instead of doing the Edelhaus tour. Such is the life of Mom, right???

Anyway, the grounds there were something to experience – especially if you are sensitive to energy. The area has a wonderful vibe, likely due to the crystals and the forest – and also, in part, due to the intention of making an experience that would help a visitor feel the healing vibes of the crystals on the site, no matter if that person was a junkie like myself or something of a skeptic.

giantquartzamethystworldThere was nice little “energy recharge” area. It had a giant quartz crystal in the middle of a fountain/pond area, with benches set up to allow you to offload some negative energy and then recharge yourself with some of the good stuff. It’s a nice place to spend a little time grounding, releasing, and recharging. You can recharge and reflect before moving onto one of the other “attractions” at Amethyst World, like the Chakraweg.

amethystpark_c_martinsommerI particularly liked their Chakraweg (Chakra Trail), which is supposed to help to activate and restore the different chakra areas when a person walks through and stands on different points on the path. The path is geometrically set up in a way that is supposed to be beneficial to the wanderer. There big circles made of concrete and crystals that are associated with each chakra – and a center point where the person walking on the trail can stand in and fully receive a charge up/balance of each energetic point in the body.

Sacral Chakra Circle on the Chakraweg.
Sacral Chakra Circle on the Chakraweg.

When I stood in the middle of each circle and closed my eyes, allowing myself to sense the energy and receive the full benefit, I could totally feel the crystals, colors, and set up working on the chakral area it was supposed to. The places I felt the most energetic balancing/clearing being done were my sacral chakra (a little under my belly button) and my heart chakra. The intensity of the energy was pretty fascinating to me, and – of course – helped to reaffirm my belief in working with crystals, chakras, and energy healing.

Because it is fall, though, the experience wasn’t as “full” as it could have been, as there are also herbs and flowers related to each energy point which would normally enrich the experience, but we were there “off-season,” so the flowers and herbs had all pretty much died away for the season.

Oh, darn. I’ll have to go back. And next time I’ll bring more money because…

The gift shop at the Amethyst World is excellent, too. Oh dear Gods and Goddesses, if I had some money to spend… Their jewelry and crystal ranges from what you can find at pretty much any shop (although I trust their labeling 1000% more than I would trust the average shop) to some pretty darn stunning pieces of fine jewelry. Honestly, too, the prices were not all that bad on the nicer pieces. Of course, you should expect to pay a little more for a flawless stone or a precious metal mounting. I saw some rings and necklaces I’d love to add to my collection.

    Squeee!
Squeee! My new babies: Aragonite, Apache Tear, Moonstone, and Fire Opal

Will I be back? Um. Hell yeah! This is going to be one of my new favorite spots to go in Austria! Would I recommend it to others? Also an affirm. It isn’t the biggest place, but it is well worth the drive and an afternoon of your time, especially if you love crystals and energy in the way that I do.

Do you have any crystal mining/exploring/energy healing locations to recommend? I’d love to hear about the best places you’ve found to enjoy crystals and energy work.

(Is it wrong to say “Crystal Junkie”? Not sure if that gives a bad spin to my crystal loving and hoarding tendencies.)

  • Grounding For Light Workers – With Scents and Crystals

Today I talked about grounding for light workers on my Periscope broadcast.

I think it is so important – especially for  – to realize the importance of the physical part of our existence, as well as the spiritual aspect of ourselves.

I work with people: angel workers, light workers, spiritual healers, sensitive people and many other spiritually based people who are working in their higher chakra areas – from their heart chakra, their throat chakra, their third-eye chakra, their crown chakra… they are really focused on their connection to Source/Higher energetic vibrations.

As we know, we are “spiritual beings having a human experience.” I hear this phrase repeated in the circles that I run in – but I want to remind you of the HUMAN part of our existence because we manifested in this form – this body with its connection to the Earth and it’s own needs and desires – that are based in the physical realm for a reason.

Everyone is perfect in the state that he or she manifests in, and to suggest that there may be something wrong with fulfilling the needs of this plane puts a lot of us on edge (a.k.a. creates conflict within us).

The other day, I was looking at the Angel Almanac, by Angela McGerr (sorry for the incorrect author in the Periscope broadcast). This book is an EXCELLENT reference and resource for angel healers and light workers because it’s just such a great source of information about the angels and how to work with them.

You know how we are sometimes just guided by Source to stumble across messages or passages that we just need to see. Well, I stumbled across this passage in the book that seemed like an answer to a question that I’d been toying with inside of myself: the conflict of feeling like we are spiritual people who should be freely sharing our gifts with one another, and the need to take care of ourselves on this human plane. So, to charge money for our services and to make sure that our needs on this plane of existence are taken care of.

A lot of times that means that we have to come back inside of our bodies – to ground ourselves, to anchor ourselves within these bodies and to accept our physical manifestation and the place we have on the Earth.

You can do that by healing in your:

    Root Chakra
    Sacral Chakra
    Solar Plexus Chakra

Remember that balance is really important. Balance is kind of the key to it. You can’t spend all of your time hanging out in the higher vibrational chakras – you sometimes have to spend time in the Earth-based chakras.

What I want to propose or put out there – I’m sure that other people have said it before – I kind of think, too, when we are talking about Jesus and we’re talking about the Holy Trinity, we’re talking about “The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost,” or we’re talking about the spirit, the matter or substance, and the connection to the Divine that we all have when we’re on this Earth. And I think that is the lesson that kind of got lost in interpretation or in all of the different communities.

You hear about high vibrating energies and low vibrating energies, and it always seems to be presented in a way that implies that the higher the vibration, the better something is. And I want to put out there that the lower vibrating things are not necessarily bad – they just vibrate at a lower frequency.

I was talking about this to Antonia Klein the other day – she’s a coach and (business) negotiator for opera singers and talents, and she works with angels as well.

When you look at things from a perspective of vibrational frequencies, you understand that higher pitched sounds vibrate at a higher rate. Lower pitched sounds, on the other hand, vibrate at a much slower rate.

Solid mass – we are solid mass… we are a combination of solid, liquid, and ether, and, of course, that connection to the Divine, and so within us are things that vibrate at different levels of frequency.

And so we have low vibration mass within us, which is the “meat and bones” of who we are – you know, our skin and our bones, this solid mass that makes up what we are. We have middle-frequency vibrations that are our blood, gels, and lymphatic fluids – things that carry things through us. We also have that higher vibrational frequency within us which is our thoughts, and then we have that super high vibrational energy where we are connecting with the Source and we attain that higher vibration.

But I want to put forth the notion that the “lower vibrating” part of you is not a bad part of you. It’s actually that sacred moment that you are supposed to be in – that you’re supposed to fully encompass when you are here.

You are given this body for a reason, and you were given all of these moments for a reason.

So many of us are preoccupied with this (higher vibration connection to Source energy), that higher vibration energy, that we neglect or somehow negate or look negatively on the material aspect of ourselves.

I think that is something that many of us (Light Workers and spiritual people) have to work on – myself included – this is something that I’ve learned on the journey.

What I wanted to talk to you a little bit about today was GROUNDING, or moving your energy back into these lower chakras and taking care of your human form because when you treat yourself as the altar (or house to worship), which is what you are, you have to remember that the altar is sacred as well.

You have to treat yourself as a sacred entity, who, without this form – without this “lower vibration aspect” of yourself – you wouldn’t be able to connect with other people and you wouldn’t be able to fulfill the mission that you’ve been given here on Earth.

So, with that, I wanted to show you a couple of crystals that could help you out with grounding.

First of all, if you want to use color as your cue for helping to deal with grounding, you can use reds – deep reds, and you can also go with brown, earthy colors like moss-green and deep, rich brown colors – those would be the colors that you would focus on when you are meditating – and imagine those roots forming from yourself into the Earth.

A lot of times they mention walking around barefoot (grounding) or digging around in the dirt, because they’ve discovered that when you are digging in the dirt there are microbes that are released that help you to deal with things like depression, and then you also get that grounding – that connection with the Earth – and that is an important part of the connection you want to have with your physical form and your physical body.

Going back to the meditation with different colors: You don’t have to do any kind of guided meditation or anything fancy. You just sit quietly and imagine colors and imagine walking through the forest (if you can’t find the time to walk through an actual forest cause that’s even better!).

When you are out in nature, you have the opportunity to absorb all of that energy – the fresh air, the energy from the trees and from the Earth and that turnover of oxygen (from the trees) that is so fresh.

If you want to work with crystals, you’d work with a Red Jasper. It’s a good crystal for grounding and it’s related to the Root Chakra as well.

When you meditate with crystals, you can just kind of hold them in your hand and feel the energy going into your body. They say that, when you are working with crystals in a way that would have you absorbing the energy, you should hold the crystal(s) in your weaker hand or your non-dominant hand. If you want to put to put energy into a crystal, you’d hold it in your dominant hand, but if you want to receive energy from a crystal, you’d use your weaker hand.

    2

So red jasper is a good grounding stone.

It can also help you deal with situations like living away from your “home.” Personally, I’m living in Austria, but I am an American – so basically anyone who is away from their home and is not feeling grounded or rooted in the area they live in.

Red jasper is also good for people who have family issues – like related to a tribe or an archetypal tribe or the area that you live in or the country that you come from – if there is any residual shame about any wars or oppression of any sort, you may have root chakra blockages or issues to deal with.

But, also, [tweetthis]grounding into that root chakra is really helpful in terms of getting you centered within yourself.[/tweetthis]

    Carnelian
    Carnelian

Another crystal I love to work with is carnelian. This goes up into the sacral chakra or the sexual/creative chakra.

This crystal is great for women, especially those who have been traumatized by abuse or rape or molestation or anything like that. This crystal is called carnelian and it is the one you would want to work with any kind of blockages or issues that deal with – on the lighter aspect of the range would deal with things like creative blocks, inability to interact with a partner, decreased libido, decreased ability to enjoy sex. On the lower end of the spectrum would be the shame or guilt or anything that would be tied with any form of sexual abuse or violence toward a person.

These two crystals (carnelian and red jasper) can be tied together in a way because there are many cultures that are considered to be “rape cultures” – or that grounding or rooting is not there. So a woman or a man is not able to feel safe within his or her sexuality and that might manifest itself in storage of fat in this area or endometriosis, menstrual problems, erectile problems (in men), issues with sexual needs and desires.

The sacral chakra is related to the color orange, so if you were working on/meditating on this area, you’d envision the color orange.

If you felt the issue went down into that root chakra, or was a combination of the two, then you could envision a red-orange or a rust color.

Usually, when balancing your energy system, you want to go through the colors in their most prime/pure manifestation and also with the blend as they meet with the next chakra up because it’s like a system – it’s like a pipe where you can’t really clear the blockage out of it – well, you can flush it down into the Earth, but then, at the same time, you want to make sure that there isn’t any residual problems with any of the other chakras and that the energy from the blockage (or removing that blockage) doesn’t affect any other areas or get trapped or stuck in any other areas, like the throat chakra, for example, which many of us having issues with communicating our needs and our anger – we get problems in this area (the throat area).

    Let me grab another crystal.

Left is Citrine, right is Heated Amethyst
Left is Citrine, right is Heated Amethyst

Citrine is a crystal that deals with your solar plexus chakra. A lot of times, what the crystal dealers sell as being “citrine” is actually heated amethyst, and some people, like Hibiscus Moon say that they have similar properties and qualities.

If you are working with a real citrine, it’s usually like a Chardonnay color – it’s a light yellow as opposed to that orangey-yellow that you see some of the time.

This one deals with your solar plexus area – (circling in the upper abdominal area) – and your self-confidence, your ability to interact with others, as it goes into the Heart Chakra. The color associated with the solar plexus chakra is yellow.

Issues in this area would be digestive issues (those could relate to sacral and root chakra as well, depending on where the pain manifests), diaphragm issues, liver, bile, anything that deals with this area in your abdomen. Actually, there is a lot there… your diaphragm, your gall bladder, your liver, your lower lungs, which might manifest in pneumonia.

When you want to get into rooting yourself within yourself, which is what you need to do or be because you can’t always be spacing out – you want to be connected with this plane and with that plane. It’s the connection between the two that is the most important. It’s not the one that connects you with your Higher Self being more important than the one that connects you with your body and the world around you.

I think that is really important – especially for light workers who sometimes push away the physical realm in favor of the spiritual realm and like I said before, you are here for a reason. You were put into your body for a reason. Just because you feel like this is some kind of lower energy – it’s a lower vibration, and that’s what gives it that characteristic of being a solid, but it’s not bad. It’s not a bad thing to be (solid, anchored in your body and in this realm).

Another thing that I use pretty frequently is essential oils, and Patchouli is one that helps to ground you into this Earthy plane. You can also use scents that are based on those colors we talked about: you can use cherry or strawberry if you prefer sweet smells, to get into that Root Chakra. You can use orange and bergamot – you know, orangey smelling, to get into that Sacral Chakra. And then lemon or hibiscus or something yellow – jasmine for example, which has been shown to help with depression and anxiety –  to deal with the Solar Plexus Chakra.

So, with that, it is a good idea to look at yourself as a spiritual being and if you’ve allowed yourself to fully inhabit your body and your space here on Earth – and the needs that go with that. For example, earning money; having a warm, safe shelter; socialization with other people; getting enough exercise; interaction with nature, which is something that is falling by the wayside for many people, which saddens me.

A lot of times, what we’ve noticed is that when you are doing those tasks with your body – when you are walking in nature and feeling grounded, not only are you more healthy, but you are actually more in touch with receiving energy (and higher guidance).

Think about it. How many times do people recommend cleaning or taking walks in nature or going and gardening and then you have these fabulous ideas that just “pop into your head…”

It’s because you are an open channel when you are fully inhabiting your existence – your existence that is all of those things together – not just one or the other, but everything you are – body, mind, spirit. The Earthy part and the Spiritual part of your being.

  • Combining Crystals and Tarot

Combining different types of crystals and tarot reading can help a reader to ground herself during a session, to better connect with her psychic abilities and with the Universe, and to more effectively communicate a reading with the reading’s co-creator (a.k.a. “the Client”).

I personally use several in each session I have – and then I add other crystals – as I feel necessary.

Like most other things related to working with your gifts and or intuition, it is important to listen to any urges or feelings you have about adding different crystals or minerals to your reading space.

    Clearing, Cleaning, and Connection:

When you are first working with your deck after you purchased/acquired it, or if you would like to keep it clear from negativity, it is a good idea to keep a piece of clear quartz crystal on top of the deck when you store it. Make sure that you clear the quartz crystal from time to time by holding it under running water (a natural waterfall or stream would be BEST, but the tap will do), or putting it out under a full moon or in direct sunlight, by laying it in a bed of rock salt overnight (discard the salt afterward). If you are attuned to Reiki or any other energy source, you can also use that to keep the energy of your crystals pure.

    Clear Quartz

Clear quartz is a great, “all around” stone to work with. It is a good stone for balancing, absorbing, and focusing – and it clears up and dispels negative energy on ALL planes (spiritual, mental, emotional). Because it is capable of clearing away negative energy and bringing more balancing and harmony into an area, it is a great stone to keep around – or on top of – your decks when they are not in use.

    Grounding and Protection:

I always feel like it is a good idea to affirm my connection with the Earth prior to reading tarot. Also, there is a vast amount of energy and wisdom available for one to draw on and use during readings, so tapping into Earth energy is a good way to start readings.

    2

    Red Jasper:

Red Jasper is not only associated with the Earth/base Chakra, but it is also considered to be a “spiritual grounding stone.” It can also help to return negative energy to its origin when working with esoteric practices. All of these attributes make it the perfect stone to use when tarot reading: It helps one to connect with the energy of the Earth, to ground spiritually, and to protect a reader and his/her querent from any negativity that might be directed at either person.

    Tiger’s Eye:

Tiger’s Eye is another stone that is associated with the Earth Chakra and one that can be used not only to connect with Earth energy and wisdom, but also to help protect participants in a tarot reading from negative energies.

    Love/Angelic Realms

    3

    Rose Quartz:

THE go-to stone for love readings and to connect with angels (and spread a little joy and love with your reading is Rose Quartz). Rose Quartz is associated with love, compassion, care, and calming – and with the angels, too! I have a rather large chunk that I actually keep in hand when I am deciphering card layouts on telephone and Skype readings. This is one I use in every single reading I do.

    Boosting Your Confidence

    Citrine:

Citrine is associated with the solar plexus and with confidence. You can use this in readings when you are first starting to build your confidence in expressing what you find in the cards. This stone is also associated with business success and abundance, which makes it a wonderful stone to bring into readings about success, business, and bringing prosperity into a person’s life.

    Communicating Messages

    Blue Calcite:

I always keep a piece of blue calcite near when doing readings. It is associated with the throat chakra, and can help a person not only communicate, but also to find the most fitting words for the situation (which is wonderful when working with intuition, Spirit, and passing messages on to others).

Tapping into Intuition and Your Psychic Abilities

     Lapis Lazuli:

Lapis is associated with the throat and third eye chakras. It has long been associated with wisdom and used by healers and priests since Egyptian times. This stone is also known for helping people to work with intuition and psychic ability – it is said that it can create a connection between the Spirit realm and the Earthly realm. It is also considered to be a very powerful stone of protection.

    1

    Labradorite:

Some refer to Labradorite as “The Stone of Magic”. It is widely known to help people tap into their psychic abilities and increase their awareness of intuitive guidance and messages from the Spirit realm. This stone is also a protective stone.

    Amethyst:

This is another all-purpose, wonderful stone to use when doing tarot readings/spiritual work. It is associated with the crown chakra and said to increase a person’s ability to connect with Spirit and gain insight and wisdom when doing readings.

I hope you’ve found this information to be helpful! There are – of course – several other stones you can use when working with cards – this is an introduction to a few that I commonly use in my readings.

Make sure that you allow your intuition to guide you when choosing complements to your tarot readings.
